Dear Theatre Producers and Directors:

We have set the dates and location for our 2018 Theatre Auditions and invite your participation.

These auditions will be held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, March 17, 18, 19, 2018 at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Natick, Massachusetts. The auditions are open to any and all types of theatre operations - summer and year-round, dinner and cabaret theatre, touring companies, theatre training conservatories, fairs and festivals, outdoor drama companies, casting agents, etc.

Information/procedures for theatre Producers/Directors, along with a copy of the detailed announcement and application form for the audition applicants are enclosed for your reference.

We'd like to call your attention to some of the features of this audition:

  1. A meeting for all theatre representatives who will be attending the auditions will be held on Saturday morning, March 17, at 8:30 AM for a quick tour of the rooms we will be using (we'll provide continental breakfast). This meeting will also give us the opportunity to meet one another, explain the audition procedures, answer any questions (especially for the benefit of first-time participants), and discuss any problems that might come up during the weekend.
  2. Performers will audition in two theatre spaces, which will run concurrently: one for those who are acting only, the other for those whose auditions will include singing and/or dancing. Following each audition session, callbacks and interviews will be held in The Hampton Ballroom, where all the theatres/companies not renting callback rooms will be assigned a numbered table. A Dance Call will be held at the end of each audition day. Callbacks should not be held in hotel sleeping rooms. For those theatres that would like an individual room for their callback/interviews, we have reserved 24 rooms on the first floor and 17 on the second floor ­- the charge for the use of one of these rooms is $75.00 per day. If you are interested in renting one of these rooms, please indicate on the Registration Form, and enclose payment with your audition service fee. Callback space will be assigned based on date of receipt of Producer Registration Form.
  3. Prior to the Technical/Staff interviews on Monday afternoon, we will hold collective auditions from 1:00-1:30 PM for all applicants who are applying for musical director/accompanist/pianist jobs and all producers who will have openings for these positions. Producers who are interested in any of these applicants can arrange an individual and lengthier interview with them later in the afternoon. We hope this arrangement will save time for everyone involved.

For your convenience, we have put the entire current Audition application packet right here on our web site. Just follow this quick and easy 3-Step Process:

  • Step #1: Download the free Adobe®Reader®, if you don't already have it. This is required for downloading and reading PDF documents like the application and instructions.
  • Step #2: Download and read the Producer Director Information & Procedures on how to fill out the Audition Application and how to best prepare for your audition.
  • Step #3: Download the Producer Registration Form. Fill the registration out on your computer screen, print it, and then submit to us via U.S. MAIL along with your payment.
  • NOTE: If you are having problems printing or any other technical issues, please send a business sized s.a.s.e. to the address below with your request for the desired form(s).

Complete and return this form, along with payment of the audition service fee of $100.00 as soon as possible. To insure that information on your theatre is included in the published material, which is given to all applicants at the auditions, please send in your registration by February 15, 2018.
